نوّه القنصل الفخري للبنان في تزمانيا، المحامي فادي الذوقي، بالمواقف المتقدمة التي أبدتها أستراليا إلى جانب لبنان في هذه المرحلة الدقيقة، مؤكدًا أن هذا الدعم يعكس عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تربط البلدين، والحرص المشترك على استقرار لبنان وصون سيادته.
وقال الذوقي في بيان له إن أستراليا، حكومةً وشعبًا، لطالما وقفت إلى جانب لبنان في مختلف المحطات الصعبة، سواء عبر المواقف السياسية الداعمة، أو من خلال المساعدات الإنسانية التي تسهم في التخفيف من معاناة اللبنانيين، خصوصًا في ظل الأزمات المتلاحقة التي يشهدها البلد.
وأشار إلى أن الجالية اللبنانية في أستراليا تؤدي دورًا وطنيًا بارزًا في هذا السياق، إذ تشكل جسرًا حيويًا بين البلدين، وتسهم بفاعلية في نقل صورة لبنان الحقيقية، والدفاع عن قضاياه المحقة في المحافل المختلفة، إضافة إلى مبادراتها الإنسانية والاجتماعية التي تدعم أهلها في الوطن الأم.
وأكد الذوقي أن اللبنانيين في الاغتراب، ولا سيما في أستراليا، أثبتوا أنهم عنصر قوة للبنان، من خلال تمسكهم بهويتهم وانخراطهم الإيجابي في المجتمعات التي يعيشون فيها، ما يعزز حضور لبنان على الساحة الدولية.
وختم القنصل الذوقي بتوجيه الشكر إلى الدولة الأسترالية على مواقفها الداعمة، داعيًا إلى استمرار هذا التعاون بما يخدم مصلحة لبنان ويعزز فرص استقراره ونهوضه، ومشددًا على أهمية تضافر الجهود الدولية والاغترابية لمساندة الشعب اللبناني في هذه المرحلة الصعبة.

The Honorary Consul of Lebanon in Tasmania, lawyer Fadi Al-Zouki, praised the advanced positions expressed by Australia in support of Lebanon during this critical period, affirming that this support reflects the depth of the historical relations between the two countries and the shared commitment to Lebanon’s stability and the preservation of its sovereignty.
In a statement, Al-Zouki said that Australia—both government and people—has always stood by Lebanon through various difficult times, whether through supportive political positions or through humanitarian assistance that helps alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people, especially in light of the successive crises the country is experiencing.
He pointed out that the Lebanese community in Australia plays a prominent national role in this context, as it constitutes a vital bridge between the two countries and contributes effectively to conveying the true image of Lebanon and defending its just causes in various forums, in addition to its humanitarian and social initiatives that support their people in the homeland.
Al-Zouki affirmed that Lebanese expatriates, particularly in Australia, have proven to be a source of strength for Lebanon through their commitment to their identity and their positive integration into the societies in which they live, thereby enhancing Lebanon’s presence on the international stage.
